Introducing our new ‘gin on the block’ Bergamot Orange and Golden Kiwi. If you know us well, you’ll know that our Bergamot Orange and Golden Kiwi Gin isn’t exactly brand new…we just decided to keep this little bottle of wonder to ourselves for a while. Our BO&GK Gin has already picked up two awards, making our ‘new’ Gin another Award Winner to add to our collection. Being in the midst of summer, we felt it was only ESSENTIAL, that we live out those Summer Gin dreams. So, there you have it…Bergamot Orange and Golden Kiwi, it was definitely time to welcome you to the Inspirited Family.  

Our socials have become somewhat of an orange explosion over the past few weeks, injecting a little bit of orange fun into everyone’s lives. Our new Bergamot Orange and Golden Kiwi Gin screams all things summer, picnics with friends and garden parties galore. We wanted to encapsulate what we imagine a summer gin to be; light, refreshing, sweet and bursting full of fruity flavour (orange being our fruit of choice here of course). For us, it was necessary for our gin to be packed full of orange fruitiness and for your tastebuds to be tantalised upon the first sip; therefore, we included three different types of oranges to ensure this bold flavour. We used; Sweet Orange, Seville Orange, and Bergamot Orange – coupled with hints of Golden Kiwi, Coconut and Lemon Peel, to ensure a sweet finish. Is there much better than a refreshing, sweet and light drink on a hot summers day? We think not.

Now, you may be wondering how we serve our newest family member. We want our Bergamot Orange and Golden Kiwi Gin to be the star of the show (drink), so we had to try quite a few options to see what mixer we think suited our new gin best. After some testing and tasting, here is our recommended Perfect Serve; our Bergamot Orange and Golden Kiwi Gin, tastes at its best served with Fevertree Mediterranean Light Tonic. Light, refreshing and with just enough oomph to let our gin speak for itself. Serve over lots of ice and garnish with a slice of orange – this is the perfect summer refreshment (trust us). If cocktails are more your thing, we recommend adding our gin to a St Clements Martini. All you need to make yours the Inspirited way is:

• 50ml of Bergamot Orange and Golden Kiwi Gin
• 15ml of Orange Liqueur (Cointreau)
• 25ml of Lemon Juice
• 10ml of Simple Syrup
• Garnish with Rosemary and a slice of Orange
