Summer has officially begun and after a very slow, and very long year – this summer has been much anticipated. Officially we have decided it is necessary everyone is filled with ‘Gin Knowledge’ and has the key tools (recipes) they need to make this summer the best tasting yet.
It is never too early to enjoy a Gin Cocktail, but we’re right into the midst of summer now (it is June) – sunshine (sometimes), the outdoors, BBQ’s, get-togethers – our recipes are a must have for every occasion. So, sit back, relax, grab a notepad, and make a list – you’ve got some ingredients shopping to do. Get ready to be GIN-SPIRED.
Number 1 - Bursting Berry Highball
- 25ml of Summer Berries and Hibiscus Pink Gin
- 10ml of Chambord
- 10ml Lime Juice
- 10ml of Cointreau
- 25ml of Ginger Ale
- Splash of Cranberry Juice
Think of a hot summer’s day – this refreshing berry delight will quench your thirst and tantalise your taste buds. Serve and garnish with your choice of berries (we recommend cranberries, strawberries and raspberries).
Number 2 - Strawberry and Mint Twist
- 25ml of Original Gin
- 2/3 Mint Leaves
- Handful of Strawberries
- Half a lemon (juiced)
- 250g Caster Sugar
- Cloudy Lemonade to top up
Did someone say SUMMER! You don’t get much more summery than this drink. A true strawberry delight with a refreshing minty kick, delicious. Serve and garnish with fresh mint leaves and diced strawberries.
Number 3 - Gin-ger Beer
- 25ml of Navy Strength Spiced Gin
- 10ml of Ginger Cordial
- 10ml of Lemon Juice
- 25ml of Ginger Beer
Summer Evening, sun going down, a lovely little pick me up. Serve and garnish with a lemon wheel or like us garnish with some edible flowers for that summery feel.
Number 4 - Summer Punch
- 50ml of Original Gin
- 2 tbsp of Sugar
- Juice of a Lemon
- 50ml of Aperol
- 25ml of Orange Juice
- Juice of a Pink Grapefruit
- Top up with 100ml of Prosecco.
For those gardens get-together’s. Grab all of your friends and family and serve them up this beautiful Summer Punch. Serve in a pitcher jug and garnish with orange, lemon, and grapefruit wheels.
Number 5 - Pink Gin Frose
- 90ml of Sparkling Rosé Wine
- 50ml of Summer Berries and Hibiscus Pink Gin
- 20ml of Lemon Juice
- 20ml of Elderflower Syrup
- Handful of Strawberries
Blend together in a blender with plenty of ice. If not frozen enough for your desired finish – pour contents into a freezer-proof bowl and leave until you’re happy with the consistency. Serve in a wine glass and garnish with a strawberry.
